What is the purpose of my art? (aka Artist’s Statement)

My artwork is the result of an effort to document and highlight things that fascinate me while exploring the capabilities of oil paint. I try to continually push myself by finding challenging objects or situations to paint. Things that fascinate me the most are objects or vistas that are missed or ignored. Sometimes they are hidden and you have to go off the beaten path to find them, or sometimes they’re right in front of our faces as we see them every day.

It is my hope to inspire people’s curiousity and bring more wonderment to their life.

What is the purpose of this site

With this site, I am intentionally merging together many of my interests to see what kind of synergy can occur between my different interests. Working in 3D, making music, printing, sculpture, electronic circuits and sensors, painting, drawing, writing, kinetic imagery, crafts, repairs, hacks … everything.
